40,000 Steps in New York City

New York Now, hosted at the Javits Centre in New York City. Gift and Stationery Show. Javits Centre - NY NOW Entrance

In August our team took to the skies and headed from Billy Bishop Airport in Toronto to New York City. We started our short three day trip by jumping right into the NY NOW Gift and Stationery Show hosted at the Javits Centre in Manhattan. This expansive show had endless rows of gorgeous items, with some of the most amazingly colourful displays.

After bopping NY NOW we decided it was time to collect our luggage and head to our hotel to get ready for a mandatory patio drink at the always fabulous Ink 48 Hotel. Dinner plans were set at Bottino in Manhattan where we ended the evening with zucchini blossoms and giant bowls of pasta.
Is there a better way to finish the day?

Sleep was welcome that evening with day two set to being a big one. The next morning we started off at the historic with Marlton Hotel with breakfast, coffee, and conversations about our all-time favourite quotes. Then, a quick jaunt in Washington Square Park before making our way to the most coveted event of the trip, Shoppe Object.

To say the show was stacked would be an understatement. With brands like Moglea, Donna Wilson, and Assouline taking part. We were so excited to catch up with friend Abigail Jayne. This California based watercolour artist had set up the sweetest booth and was showing with her sister.

After a lovely morning at Shoppe Object we hit the streets for a bite to eat and a little shopping. We enjoyed Salade de Poulet at the New York staple Buvette in the West Village.

Onwards then to our favourite stationery and book shops.
